Encapsulated papillary carcinoma of the thyroid or Lindsay’s tumor, a morphologic subtype of the papillary thyroid carcinoma, is not commonly encountered. Lindsay gave the incidence as nearly 11% of all thyroid papillary carcinomas. In this case a right thyroid Iobectomy specimen of an 18 year old girl has been diagnosed as encapsulated papillary carcinoma, follicular variant. It is reported as it is very rare and also both encapsulated and completely follicular, with a review of the literature.
